M43 jacket movie prop from Battleground 1949
This original M43 jacket has MGM written on the back and a faint label “Donald Taylor” and “Field” inside. It also has graffiti on the cuff “I LUV U” and “I LOVE YOU”. From the 1949 MGM production of Battleground following a squad of 101st Airborne glider troops in Bastogne during the battle of the bulge. Don Taylor played “Corporal Standiferd” in the film and went on to become a film and TV director. The Screaming Eagles patch has been added and was not original to the jacket.
